1. Who we are

This site is run by Federico Carrer, freelance software engineer, Trieste, Italy (EU). For anything about your data write to us through the contact form. There is no data-protection officer because none is required for a site of this size.

2. What we collect and why

Contact form: the message you type and the e-mail you give, only to answer you (legal basis: your request / consent).

Private area (by invitation): your e-mail address, the display name you choose, your preferred language and salutation style, and a sign-in session — to let you log in with a magic link and use the private area (legal basis: the agreement to give you access).

We do not collect anything else, we do not build profiles, and we never sell or share data for marketing.

3. Cookies and local storage

We do not show a cookie banner because we do not need one: the site sets no cookies while you browse. Only when you sign in, one strictly necessary session cookie (__Host-fc_session) keeps you logged in; it is not used for tracking and is deleted when you log out or when it expires.

We store a few settings in your browser's local storage (theme, whether to show the signed-in header, the version of the site you loaded) — none of them identifies you. There are no analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts: everything the site loads comes from our own servers.

4. Where your data is

On servers in the European Union operated by our cloud hosting provider (Scaleway, France).

5. Who else sees it

Nobody, except two service providers that act on our instructions: the cloud hosting provider in the EU (Scaleway, France) and an e-mail delivery provider in the EU that delivers our e-mails (magic links, invitations). Their names are available on request. No data leaves the EU.

6. How long we keep it

• Contact messages: up to 12 months after we answer.
• Your account: until you delete it yourself from your profile page (immediate) or we close the private area.
• Sign-in sessions: minutes to hours, until expiry or log-out.
• Server logs without personal content: up to 30 days.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to a use, or withdraw consent, at any time by writing to us through the contact form; deleting your account is self-service. You may complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or to the data-protection authority of your country.

8. Changes

If this page changes, the date above changes with it; substantial changes are announced in the private area.
